Day 1 cortina d'ampezzo
Meet in Treviso
Shuttle to Borca di Cadore, where we enjoy a picnic lunch before heading out on a mountain bike ride that follows the twists and turns of an old railway path
The route ends in Cortina d’Ampezzo, a posh mountain resort town filled with shops and cafés encircled by stunning peaks.
Days 2-3 san cassiano
Indulge in a hearty alpine breakfast before taking a chairlift to the base of the imposing Cinque Torri, a group of five famous stone pinnacles
Kids learn the basics of rock climbing from trained instructors
Walk with our local guide to an open-air museum near Passo di Falzarego and explore World War I tunnels built into the hillside
Bike through the scenic Ladin villages, conifer forests and flower-carpeted fields of the Val Badia
Above the tree line, delight in remarkable views of glaciers and lofty rock towers
Take an exhilarating zip-line ride beneath a canopy of trees in Colfosco
While the kids join the leaders for a pizza night, adults indulge in a Michelin-starred dinner at La Siriola.
Days 4-6 fie allo sciliar
Journey by gondola to the Alpe di Siusi, a pristine plateau of meadows and wetlands
Pedal alongside streams and rivers while admiring such alpine flowers as gentians and poppies
Hike to a rifugio where ancient folk traditions thrive
Try regional specialties including sausage with mushrooms and polenta, and grilled Taleggio cheese
Marvel at breathtaking sunsets made all the more spectacular by the vivid pink stone of the surrounding mountains.
MOUNTAIN CHARM: Premiere Inns
Hotel de la Poste (1 night): Established in 1835, this charming four-star hotel is located amid mountain peaks in the center of this well-heeled town.
Hotel Ciasa Salares (2 nights): Set in a sprawling green meadow surrounded by lush forests, this hotel features an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish baths and a restaurant wine list displaying 1,800 labels.
Romantik Hotel Turm (2 nights): A 13th-century hotel with Tyrolean-style décor, a pool, a spa offering herb and wine baths, and delicious regional cuisine prepared by proprietor and renowned chef Stefan Pramstrahler.

On this Family Trip, our routes follow gentle terrain with no significant gain or loss in elevation. Liberal van shuttling is incorporated into the itinerary to facilitate our activities and mileage is kept moderate to enable you to spend more time exploring on your own.

General Info on Minimum Ages:
We strongly encourage families to join our Family Trips, designed with kid- and adult-friendly features. Please note that we have a minimum age requirement of 1 year for all Inn trips and 2 years for all Camping trips. Other than that, we do not restrict trips to a minimum age except in the rare case of a hotel age restriction. We do, however, recommend minimum ages based on the following criteria:
- 12+ cultural appreciation, difficulty of activities and route
- 9+ difficulty of activities and route
- 6+ several long adult dinners; parent may not be able to pull a Burley and/or there may be multiple activity restrictions
- 3+ riding is on bike paths, making it great for young kids; Burley and Piccolos are available; there are few or no activity restrictions; and no long dinners (or we offer alternatives)
