Premiere Inns

Casual Inns
The accommodations on our Casual Inn Trips are ideal places to relax and enjoy gracious hospitality after a day of exploring. From an Alaskan lodge with glacier views to a Polish Renaissance-era hotel that once welcomed Balzac, Liszt and Tsar Alexander II, each property is in tune with the surrounding region and a perfect venue for visiting spectacular natural sights or immersing yourself in the local culture. While our Casual Inns are by definition comfortably informal, like all our hotels, they must meet a rigorous list of criteria set by the very demanding Backroads team. Dining on Casual Inn trips tends to be intimate, down to earth, and infused with regional character. You can look forward to rubbing elbows with the locals, whether you’re enjoying handmade pasta on the Amalfi Coast or the day’s North Atlantic catch in a cozy Nova Scotia.
Deluxe Family Camping
If your family loves the outdoors, Deluxe Family Camping Trips get you deeper into nature. You can relax while all the chores—from setting up tents to preparing kid-friendly meals—are handled by your leaders, a Camp Chef and a Camp Assistant. Imagine rolling into a campsite to find your spacious dome tents set up, your luggage inside and your plush sleeping bag laid out on an extra-thick sleeping pad. And enjoying such meals as sourdough French toast, fresh melon and eggs cooked to order for breakfast. And a dinner of broiled salmon or steak fajitas—topped off with fresh salads and decadent desserts. This is camping in trademark Backroads style.
