Jenny Uphoff is a California native, born and raised in the Bay Area. Her life has been intertwined with bike adventures since her parents met at the local bicycle shop that soon became their family business. She has a contagious passion for life and leading trips for Backroads is the job she always dreamed of: climbing mountains in Alaska during the summer and enjoying the warm waters of Hawaii in the winter. Jenny also has a serious love affair with food. When she’s not leading trips, you’ll find her with hands in the garden or experimenting in the kitchen. Before Backroads, she was a personal family chef, integrating wholesome meals with health education for families. She has a degree in public health from University of California, Berkeley, and during her studies she focused on global health while circumnavigating the planet through Semester at Sea. Jenny is a passionate explorer of the earth, constantly seeking beauty in the world around her.
