Maintain a work-life balance by making the most of your time off. At Backroads, all employees accrue time off and receive additional paid vacation days specifically for taking a Backroads trip.

Employees are granted trip credit every year, based on tenure, to use toward a Backroads trip of their choice (seasonal employees are not eligible). Trip costs are discounted for close family and friends, so you can share the Backroads experience with your loved ones. Opportunities for complimentary trips are also available from time to time!
Staff Ride
Immerse yourself in Backroads company culture by participating in our annual Staff Ride! Staff Ride is a company-wide travel opportunity to bike, mingle and celebrate with fellow Backroads Trip Leaders and field and office staff from all over the world for one week, majority of expenses paid.
