Day 1
Start your journey in the mesmerizing gateway city of Palma • Bike through the countryside, passing picturesque windmills • Feeling energetic? Days 2-3
Behold the dramatic Serra de Tramuntana mountain range—cycling paradise found! • Ascend the ultra-curvy Orient-Bunyola route on a ride through some of Mallorca's most breathtaking scenery • Explore the island’s western reaches on a coastal ride • Wind through pine forests and the enchanting hamlet of Valldemossa, home of the monastery that once hosted Frédéric Chopin and George Sand • Stroll through the perched village of Deiá, a source of inspiration for the island’s artists • Dine while looking out at the sea in vibrant Port de Sòller.

Days 4-6
Relax in the cozy main square of Fornalutx before conquering Mallorca’s highest mountain pass • If you dare, brave the road to Sa Calobra, a thrilling roller coaster of hairpin turns plunging 3,000 feet to the sea • Bike the winding road to Cap de Formentor, a bluff at the northernmost end of the island • Ride along the southern side of the Serra de Tramuntana range into a fertile region dotted with vineyards and olive and walnut trees • Our stylish hideaway provides the perfect setting for post-ride siestas.

Amazing trip of a lifetime.
We had an amazing trip with good equipment, great trip leaders, amazing vistas and beautiful hotels. Would definitely do again.
Best cycling in the world
My wife and I have been on 4 backroads trips together. This one and Tuscany biking are the favorites. The cycling in Mallorca is quite simply hard to beat. Our guides, Eder and Richi were fun, lively, knowledgeable, and the focal point of the trip. They did a wonderful job, and we hope to be on a trip with them again! This trip is tough with the climbing, but the views, the road quality, and the hotels/food make it all worth it. Highly recommend this trip!
What. A. Trip.
The riding is challenging but doable, and makes one feel so very accomplished. Every corner or switchback there was an incredible view to keep you riding hard. Such a memorable trip.
Cyclist's Paradise
A fantastic trip - unbelievable views and scenery. Another winner from backroads. Our guides Anna, Max and our tour support Dani were all excellent. Hotels were gorgeous and it was great to have some time to walk around and explore Valldemossa for the dinner on our own evening. The absolute star of the show were the cycling routes however - epic days along the coast with the ride out to the lighthouse at Cap Formentor and the ride to Sa Calobra (including going up and down even though that was not on the actual itinerary) being bucket list rides for me. Our guides were flexible enough to allow to me ride down to Sa Calobra and back up the famous road - one of my top 3 days on a bike all-time. It is very hilly however - if climbing (or descending) on a bike is not your thing, I strongly suggest an e-bike. 3/4 of our group had e-bikes and could complete the rides without a problem. First time (of 5 trips) that I am contemplating returning to do it again in the future.

Mallorca-Amazing biking holiday
Our group of 10 with 3 guides(Sophia, Kai, José) was perfect. Got to know everyone during our organized meals yet nice downtime to just ride with my husband, enjoy the "fincas" we stayed at. Pool/relaxation time was perfect. The goats along the way were adorable! Backroads is fabulous at making their guests feel special. Backroads trip #4 for us and there will be more!
AMAZING honeymoon and my wife's "best week of my life"
Remarkable trip from start to finish. We knew the riding on Mallorca would be epic and challenging and we weren't disappointed. Super grateful to be traveling with Backroads since we knew they had selected the absolute best routes for us the experience all the magnificence that Mallorca has to offer. The hotels were terrific and each had unique charms and luxuries that made them all so fun to experience. The Trip Leaders added so much to the enjoyment of the trip—from their fun personalities and local insights to the seamless flow of logistics that allowed us to focus entirely on having the time of our lives and not having to spend a single second worrying about luggage, meals, transport, navigation or anything else. Just kick back, ride, relax and soak in every little special detail of the experience. Worth every penny and then some.
Our favorite of many bike trips
I can't believe we waited so long to visit and cycle on Mallorca. What an incredible combination of scenic beauty, spectacular cycling, great food, and wonderful people. Palma is a lovely city and I'm so glad we allowed an extra day to explore it. The hotels were all excellent but individually unique and suited to their region. We would do this trip again - it is our favorite of the many we have done.
How are we going to top this??
This Mallorca trip was reputed to be one of Backroads' best, and it more than lived up to this advance billing. Truly extraordinary. Amazing scenery, fantastic weather, and superlative biking, with some challenging uphill climbs and truly exhilarating downhills, usually with a spectacular view as the ultimate payoff. I'm not sure how we're going to top this on our next Backroads trip but we're absolutely going to give it shot! Thank you for doing what you do!
