This trip had so much to offer. The rides were long but not loaded with big climbs. There were plenty of rolling hills to get plenty of exercise. The landscape is beautiful, switching between seaside towns to beautiful farmland and even through forested areas. While this is a casual inn trip, at least 2 of the hotels are super nice, and all 3 had saunas and spas which are hard to describe but unlike and superior to those in the US. The food leans heavily towards seafood but there were always options for those who prefer chicken or a fabulous cheeseburger. Because we were in areas rich with farming, the vegetables served were a highlight, too. Our guides were top-notch, too!

Never been to Norway or Sweden? That was us! Backroads is a great introduction, moving beyond the spectacular northern fjords to the small towns and rolling countryside of the more modest southern Oslo fjord. We loved this trip; Perri and Mia, our trip leaders, were amazing, as was Sonia, who provided additional support. Food was excellent; hotels (all spas) were great; all the rides were fun. And as always, our fellow riders were one of the best aspects of the trip.

The leaders, accommodations, bike routes, and food were all exceptional. Backroads trips are expensive but EXTEMELY HIGH VALUE!!! I felt like I got more than i paid for -- especially thanks to the nimbleness, flexibility, creativity, and care of our trip leaders and support person. PLUS -- our fellow bikers were great!!

We just returned from our 7th Backroads trip over a span of 21 years. They have all been totally different and equally wonderful.

Recently finished our Norway & Sweden bike tour. This trip is now at the top of our list of our best trips, tied with the Croatia trip. The rides through the farmland and along the fjords were beautiful - rolling hills that provided some challenges but not extreme, and beautiful views of harbors, small sea towns and expansive water. The rain did not dampen the mood of the group. Meals were predominantly seafood and were delicious. Our group of 19 bonded very well and was great fun.

My first backroad bike trip exceeded my expectations. The team leaders were amazing and able to accommodate a variety of interests and abilities from our group. The scenery in Norway and Sweden was fantastic as were the meals and accommodations. This was a great week!

My first Backroads biking trip.....I'm already planning my next adventure! The trip Leaders were supportive and so encouraging. The attention to detail in trip planning and preparation was extremely helpful. The App showing daily routes and more was informative and set expectations every step of the way. Norway/Sweden were beautiful the routes exemplified the ever changing scenery. A trip to remember!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time exploring Oslo and the coast and countryside of Norway and Sweden. The Scandinavian people are delightful and our leaders...Agnus, Jenna, and Caroline were super communicative and lots of fun. Great leaders! We enjoyed making new friends as the other guests were a diverse group from around the US.

Following the 2 years of darkness of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the trip to Norway was welcome not just for its long sun filled days but for the awesome biking routes and scenery, remarkable lodging and spa sites, food and - of course- the absolute best in leaders who are knowledgeable about the local area, can solve any problem and appear to have an endless well of good cheer. This type of service and quality has always been our experience at Backroads. So happy the company weathered the pandemic and -if anything- has upped their game in quality and service. Thanks again for an Awesome adventure.
