This has been such an amazing trip!! Words and pictures can't really describe it. To hike and see places that only a small few can access is amazing. The wonder a beauty of it all is overwhelming. The staff at both backroads and CMH have been fantastic and the helicopter was a huge plus! I felt safe the entire time. Food was amazing and they really accommodate to the person and level of activity for each person. I can't say enough good things about this trip!

It was an outstanding trip. The guides were great and the helihiking was just awesome. The hike on that portion were place that would normally take forever to get to. And the people at the lodge were incredibly friendly. Going back to the lodge at the end of the day and taking about the activities was very enjoyable. And the skyladder via farratta was just awesome!

Scott & I had an unforgettable, excellent heli-hiking trip in the Canadian Rockies with Backroads. Our trip leaders, Ken & Emily, were very professional, patient, and extremely helpful & caring. The scenery, lodges, and meals were all amazing. All of the guides made sure to tailor the hikes to our abilities..

I can't adequately put into words how special this trip is. The first few days were your typical (if there is such a thing!) amazing Backroads days - great inns, amazing hikes, fabulous food. The second half of the trip was an incredible experience. Staying up in the Bugaboos was a once in a lifetime experience - you truly get the family feeling up there, and the ability to hike where no one has ever been is, well, just amazing. We had such a great time we thought about going back again this summer!

After decades of traveling around the world for both business and pleasure, I'm so thankful to have discovered Backroads. I just completed my second hiking trip with them, returning with renewed spirit and reverence for the outdoors. Though my first trip to the Swiss Alps was breathtaking, the recent HeliHiking Tour in Banff, Canada was a life changing and unforgettable experience. I'd love to give special thanks to Backroads manager, Dave Bandes, who advocated for and confirmed all the arrangements for me to travel with my service dog, Ebby, as well as the fantastic staff and leaders, who were extremely flexible when there was a room booking confusion and were able to immediately resolve the issue. I've made so many deep and meaningful connections on these trips and can't wait for the next!
