We want to make sure you're on the trip that's right for you. Every Backroads trip is unique and this one is no exception.
During our days of hiking through the Himalaya region's captivating rugged terrain, we climb rocky and sometimes uneven paths, most of which are quite remote. The nature of these trails and our trekking lodges, which are mostly only reachable by foot, is such that you must at least hike each day's short route option. Ample trail support in the form of water, snacks and encouragement is provided by your Backroads leader and local guides.
As wonderfully fulfilling as travel is in Nepal, it's not always easy. Our itineraries and Trip Leaders remove as many obstacles and inconveniences as possible, but know that Nepal is a developing country where different attitudes, as well as litter or scenes of poverty, can sometimes be jarring. Yet the beauty of the people, the culture and the landscape shines through.
This trip includes travel on a commercial flight so that we can explore the best of your destination. Please note that flight schedules can change with little advance warning, which may require us to adjust our activities on a travel day. Your Trip Leaders will provide more details on any changes should this occur.
