Amazing Nepal trip!

Submitted March 2023

By ETC

From Minneapolis

We were looking for an active trip to a place and culture we knew little about. Everything that makes Backroads great was in this trip: superb leaders knowledgeable about Nepal and the trip itself, excellent local guides, great hiking, opportunities to talk with local people and experience their culture, great accommodations (appropriate to where we were), and innumerable details thought through beforehand, making the whole thing look seamless.

Exotic Destination & Otherworldly Sights

Submitted November 2019

By mhill

From Oakland CA

Was it rounding the bend and walking toward a bank of clouds, only to realize it was actually towering Machapuchare poking out of the stratosphere that was the most exhilarating moment of the trip? Was it waking up to rose-colored Annapurna South at sunrise? Or was it the consistent warmth and hospitality of our native hosts? Perhaps it was the jaw-dropping sight of a rhinoceros swimming across the river at sunset as we paddled cautiously by? I will stay busy savoring the collective memory while looking ever forward to the next adventure!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
