We want to make sure you're on the trip that's right for you. Every Backroads trip is unique and this one is no exception.
While our hotels are some of the finest in Morocco, some tend to be in fairly isolated areas, removed from the conveniences of a cosmopolitan city. Though part of their charm, it also means that when things break, it may take some time to get them repaired. Service standards can be a bit different here and you may encounter the occasional person unfamiliar with the concept of "service with a smile."

Best one yet! Morocco exceeded expectations!
Having completed seven Backroads trips, I can confidently say this Morocco adventure was my absolute favorite. The entire experience was superbly crafted, thanks to the outstanding Backroads guides, Olivia and Davide, who were both incredible, along with exceptional local guides and drivers who exceeded all expectations. This trip immerses you in Moroccan culture like no other, offering unique experiences that bring the country's traditions and history to life. You'll enjoy meals in small villages, walk with knowledgeable local guides who share fascinating insights about the culture, landscape, and history, and stay in top-notch hotels that blend seamlessly into the rich cultural backdrop. While the itinerary is designated as light hiking, be prepared for some technical hiking. Though short, some trails are steep and rocky. That said, Backroads, as always, is very accommodating, allowing for flexibility if there are parts of the hikes you'd rather sit out. The mountain drives, all in comfortable 4x4 SUVs, include some sections on dirt roads without guardrails. However, the drivers were incredibly skilled, and I felt completely safe at all times. If you're seeking an authentic cultural experience in Morocco, I highly recommend this trip. Every member of our group, even those with over 10 Backroads trips under their belt, agreed it was the best one yet. This is truly a journey I'll never forget!
