Jim has been an avid cyclist since purchasing his first ten-speed from paper-route proceeds in the 1970s. Just before finishing graduate school, Jim and a friend spent the summer of 1987 riding 5,000 miles on a self-supported cycling trip from Alaska to Mexico. Jim and his lovely wife raised six great kids and are now looking forward to an active and adventure-filled retirement.
