Paul Sambrano was born and raised in Ecuador. After a year as an exchange student in the United States, he went back to his home country to study Ecology and Ecotourism. He held many jobs in both countries, working as a naturalist and bird guide in Ecuador’s cloud forest and the Amazon region, and as a zookeeper and trainer at the Cincinnati Zoo. During his time in the US, Paul took every chance he got to go back to Ecuador to see his family and visit the Amazon. He’s now back in Ecuador working as a naturalist and Trip Leader for Backroads, fulfilling his desire to travel and see as many places as possible.
